**What is the dosage for elderberry syrup? For adults, one dose is a tablespoon. For children, one dose is a teaspoon. (NOT for children under 1 years of age.)
**How often do I take it? It's a good idea to take elderberry syrup every day, morning and night, to tackle viruses before they even have a chance to take hold. If you or someone in your house gets sick, increase dosage to once every three hours.
**How should elderberry syrup be stored? Our elderberry syrup is shelf stable until opened. After opening, please store in the refrigerator.
**How long will it last? Once opened, it's best to consume within 30 days, although elderberry syrup can stay good for up to 3 months in the refrigerator.
**Does elderberry syrup even really work? Yes, it does! Numerous scientific studies have shown that elderberry syrup fights viruses in the body, and numerous bodies of evidence also point to its other beneficial qualities including:

**Is elderberry syrup good for allergies?
Elderberries contain natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components. I sweeten my elderberry syrup with raw local honey, which has been shown to help with allergies as well.
**I bought some elderberry syrup from the store and it was thick like actual syrup. Why isn't yours?
Most elderberry syrups you buy in the store are thickened with artificial thickeners and sugar. I don't use any of these, only filtered water and natural ingredients. I try to use a balance of ingredients to create a product that is of excellent quality and still affordable.
**When I open my bottle of elderberry syrup, I hear a hissing sound/the syrup is foamy. Why is that?
It's most likely began fermenting. This can happen when bacteria gets into the bottle, or when it is not stored in the refrigerator as instructed on the label. There are two ways you can prevent this: Don't drink from the bottle, and keep it cold! Also, please consume within 30 days of opening.
*If your syrup was shipped to you, there may be a hissing sound when you open it the first time. This is probably due to changes in temperature during shipping.
